Discovery have collaborated on some excellent new resources which demonstrate how relevant, modern and easy the pioneer activity badge can really be.

There is a comprehensive leaders’ guide and an accompanying activity booklet for you to use with your troop. scouts will even be able to participate in a fun quiz to find out which ‘Discovery Pioneer’ they are most like. Bear Grylls, James Cracknell, Ed Stafford or Ruth England?

Discovery is one of the best known TV brands in the world. Every day, over 3.7 million people enjoy watching one of Discovery's channels.

Its programmes tell the stories of pioneers and adventurers and cover subjects such as science and exploration.

As well as great stories and characters, Discovery's programmes try to tell you something about the world around you.

Its list of inspirational presenters includes Bear Grylls, Stephen Hawking, and Olympic Gold medallist James Cracknell.
